For each new case, it is mandatory to execute a Conflict of Interest (CoI) check that will scan your client and opponent registry if there might be any potential conflict of interest with the new case.
Case Client(s)
Following checks are run for the entered client(s), searching on the client name and on its company registration number/VAT number or Social Security number of a person.

- Does any parent or ultimate parent company exist as an opponent?

Following checks are run for the entered opponents(s), searching on the opponent's name and on its company registration number/VAT number or Social Security number if a person.

- Does any parent or ultimate parent company exist as a client?

If there are any matches on the above criteria, a list of cases is displayed together with a warning, this doesn't prevent the user from creating the case, but the information is stored in the case for historical purposes, and can be viewed in the Case Card, Details-view.
