What is a Rule?
Is a set of Conditions that, if all are true, determines either an Hourly Fee or a Fixed Fee rate. You can set the fee rate, currency, and 1 of the 2 fee rate types below.
- Hourly Fee
Is the amount of money that will be charged for every hour recorded. - Fixed Fee
Is a set amount of money for work or service rendered, regardless of how many hours were recorded.
You are allowed to only have one Rule with no conditions set per Price List. This means that the hourly/fixed fee specified will always be applied, due to no conditions set.
However, you can set one or more Price List Rules with different sets of conditions per Rule. If there are multiple Rules set, the system will go through the Rules in their order (top to bottom) until one of them is True, then apply the Hourly or Fixed Fee specified for that Rule.
If all Rules end up as False, the system will take the next available fee level that is next.

What is a Filter?
Is a set of zero or more Conditions that, if all are true, determines either a Multiplier or Additive adjustment to be applied.
- Multiplier
Is a quantity by which a given number is to be multiplied. - Additive
Is a set amount of money that is to be added on top of a fee.
You are allowed to only have one Filter with no conditions set per Price List. This means that the multiplier (by default) is set to 1.00. You are unable to set the Multiplier lower than 0.
However, you can set one or more Price List Filters with different sets of conditions per Filter. If there are multiple Filters set, the system will go through the Filters in their order (top to bottom) until one of them is True, then apply the Multiplier or Additive adjustment specified for that Filter.
If all Filters end up as False, the system will take the next available fee level that is next.

What is a Condition?
Is a factor or set of factors that must be all true that determines an outcome. The outcome is either a particular Fee Type/Currency (Rule), a Multiplier/Additive (Filter), or both.
You can set the following Conditions to either a Rule or Filter.

Note:
1. If a Rule has one Unspecified Condition with either Hourly/Fixed Fee at 0.00, this will be ignored and the next "fee level" will take effect.
2. The system will check both the Rules and Filters list as an independent list of Conditions. Meaning that if all Rules are false, and a Filter is true, the filter value will be used.
3. In addition to No. 2 above, it is possible that a Rule is true, as well as a Filter is true. This means that if the Rule has a fee value of 500 USD / hour, and a Filter with Multiplier as 1.10, the fee will be 550 USD / hr.
