Report Filters
Notes
This report shows you the outstanding balances of all cases, listed per client, displaying the total unpaid invoice amounts, work in progress (WIP), expenses, and total billable amounts for each case.
When this report is generated, it will look as below.
To expand the image, right-click on the image and click on Open image in new tab.
Contents of Report
This report will show the following information.
- Client

- Each green line is a Client, on the same line will display the following information.

- Client Number
- Client Name

- Each green line is a Client, on the same line will display the following information.

- Each Case will be displayed per line, with the following information.

- Case Number
- Case Name
- Invoice Number(s)

- List of all invoice number(s) that are not yet fully paid.

- Inv. unpaid

- These are the unpaid amounts yet to be paid.

- WIP
-
- Work-in-Progress (WIP) is all unbilled time records yet to be billed, excluding time records that have been marked as unbillable.
- WIP does not include declined or deleted time records.

- Expenses
-
- Expenses are all unbilled expenses yet to be billed, excluding expenses that have been marked as unbillable.
- Expenses do not include declined or deleted expenses.

- Billable sum

- WIP + Expenses = Billable sum

- Each Case will be displayed per line, with the following information.

- Total summation of the client.
- Total summation of all client results.
Report Filters
This report has a set of standard filters that can be used to further refine the report depending on your criteria. Report filters use the 'and' function, meaning the data that is generated in the report comes back as all true for every selected filter. If the report is empty, try reducing the number of filters selected.
Following filters are available for this specific report.
Period
By default, it will be pre-selected for the ‘Last 30 days’.
Period, after selecting the start/end date, the report will generate assets that have been billed/invoiced within the selected period.
Billing Unit (Resultatenhet)
Billing Unit filter allows you to select a specific billing unit to generate assets for. Being able to select another billing unit will require you to have the 'Access to all Billing Units'-right set in the Control Panel.
If you do not have the right, this will show the billing unit you belong to. The report will then generate assets that belong to your billing unit.
If you have the right, you can select (if any) other billings units if you wish. Selecting a billing unit will generate assets that belong to that billing unit.
Business Unit (Affärsenhet)
Business Unit filter allows you to select a specific business unit from the drop-down menu. The business units selectable will depend on what Billing Unit was selected previously.
The report will generate assets/data based on the business unit(s) selected. If nothing is selected, then all business units will be included in the report.
Clients (Klienter)
Client filter allows you to select one or more clients to generate assets/data from the drop-down menu. You can search for the client name or number in the field.
The report will generate assets/data based on the client(s) selected. If nothing is selected, then all clients will be included in the report.
Cases (Ärenden)
Cases filter allows you to select one or more cases to generate assets/data. You can enter the case name or case number in the field and select the case as it appears in the drop-down menu. You can also enter the client name which will then bring a drop-down selection of all cases related to the client.
The report will generate assets/data based on the cases selected. If nothing is selected, then all cases will be included in the report.
Case Type (Ärendetyper)
Case Type is the same as Practice Area.
Case Type filter allows you to select one or more case types (practice areas) to generate assets/data for from the drop-down menu, or write in the text box to search for the specific case type (practice area) you wish to select. If nothing is selected, then all case types will be included.
The report will generate assets/data based on the case types (practice areas) selected. If nothing is selected, then all case types (practice areas) will be included in the report.
Case Tags (Ärendetaggar)
Case Tags filter allows you to select one or more case tags from the drop-down menu, or write in the text box for the specific case tag you wish to select. If nothing is selected, then all case tags will be included.
Note: only approved Case Tags (in Control Panel) will display in the drop-down menu.
The report will generate assets/data based on the case tags selected. If nothing is selected, then all case tags will be included in the report.
Case Status (Ärendestatus)
Case status 'Open' is pre-selected by default.
Case status is the “status” of the case within LEX. There are only four statuses; Open, Closed, Pending Request or Declined Cases.
- Open (Öppna)
Selecting this will only generate assets for cases that are currently open (active). - Closed (Avslutat)
Selecting this will only generate assets for cases that have been closed. - Pending Request (Förfrågan pågår)
Selecting this will only generate assets for cases that are still pending. - Declined Cases (Nekade ärendeförfrågningar)
Selecting this will only generate assets for case requests that have been declined.
Time keeper (Medarbetare)
A time keeper is any User who has reported time.
Time keeper filter allows you to select one or more time keepers (Users) from the drop-down menu or write in the text box for the time keeper (User) you wish to select. If nothing is selected, then all time keepers (Users) will be included.
The report will generate assets/data based on the time keepers selected. If nothing is selected, then all time keepers will be included in the report.
Invoice Profile (Fakturaprofiler)
Invoice Profiles are created in the Control Panel.
Invoice Profile filter allows you to select one or more invoice profiles from the drop-down menu or write in the text box for the invoice profile you wish to select. If nothing is selected, then all Invoice Profiles will be included.
The report will generate assets/data based on the invoice profile(s) selected. If nothing is selected, then all invoice profile(s) will be included in the report.
Notes:
1. You will only have access to this report if you are a User with 'Reporting'-rights.
2. If cases have been closed within the selected period, and there are still assets remaining in those cases, the report will display this information under WIP and Billable sum.
3. This report will exclude all cases with Case Billing Type "Not Billable (Internal)"
4. If you are using the Time keeper filter, the report change slightly when filtered.

- The report will filter based on the Timer keeper(s) selected, showing only their own summations for each case.

- Meaning that the WIP, Expenses, and Billable sum columns will only display each Time keepers value of each case.
- The Inv. unpaid column remains untouched. This means that this column will still display the actual total unpaid value of all invoices within that case.

- The report will filter based on the Timer keeper(s) selected, showing only their own summations for each case.
5. The report does not include credited time records or expenses.
