To change a time record from fixed fee to hourly fee, head over to the Main Card, Invoices view, under the Drafts section, and click on the invoice to open it.
Click the 'Fixed'-icon on the time record you want.
Select one of the following options:
1. Switch to Hourly Fee...
There are two options and they as follows:
1. Keep Time Worth
By selecting this option, the system will retain only the time worth and recalculate the time length to align with the time worth.
For example, if the User's hourly fee is worth 1,000 USD and the time is also worth the same amount, selecting this option will reduce the time length from 2.5 hours to 1 hour of work, while the fee will remain at 1,000 USD.
2. Keep Time Length
By selecting this option, the system will retain only the time length and recalculate the time worth to align with the User's hourly fee.
For example, if the User's hourly fee is worth 1,000 USD, but the fixed setting restricts their payment to only 1,000 USD for 2.5 hours of work, resetting the adjustment to the default will result in them being paid 2,500 USD for 2.5 hours of work.
2. Clear Time Fee...
This option is similar to the 'Keep Time Length'.
If you select this option, the system will undo any manually adjusted fixed fee, reset the time to hourly as per the default setting, and recalculate the fee to align with the User's hourly fee.
For example, if the User's hourly fee is valued at 1,000 USD, but the fixed setting restricts their payment to only 1,000 USD for 2.5 hours of work, resetting the adjustment to the default will result in them being paid 2,500 USD for 2.5 hours of work.
Click the Save Changes button and you are done.
Note:
1. Ensure that you are either a Case Manager, a Client Manager, a User with 'Accounting'-rights or a User with 'Assistant'-role set up to be able to change a time record from fixed fee to hourly fee.
