Setting up Fortnox Integration
Before you integrate LEX with Fortnox, ensure that you are using the app.lex247.com URL and not the standard URL you typically log into LEX with. This link must be used as that is what will be used to authenticate the connection.
To set up Fortnox as your accounting system of choice, head over to the Control Panel.
Under General, click Manage Integrations.
You will then see the screen below.
Under Accounting System, find Fortnox and click on Connect.
This will take you to the Fortnox website to authenticate the integration where you will need to log into your Fortnox Service Account.
We highly recommend that you log in using your own Fortnox Service Account. If you do not know how to create a Fortnox Service Account, please click here.
After logging in with your Fortnox Service Account, you will be taken to another website to authenticate the login.
From here, click on Godkänn behörighet button.
This will route you back to LEX247 application Main Card and you are all done.
Creating a Fortnox Service Account
First, go to the Fortnox website at https://www.fortnox.se/ and log in as an Administrator.
Click on your Account Name at the top right and click Manage Users.
You will be taken to a view where you can see all the Users in your Fortnox.
Click on Add User.
The dialogue will appear as below.
Enter all the details for the Service Account.
For the email, we recommend not to use someone as the sole "Service Account Owner" - instead it is best to create an email address that is generic such as admin@domainname.com or something similar.
After entering the details and clicking Save, you should then see the new 'User' in the list.
On the far right of the newly created User, click on the SYSADMIN button.
The following dialogue will appear.
Click on Make System Administrator. As this has the highest administrator priveledges set.
You will be given the warning to ensure you understand what making the User/Account as a System Administrator means.
Tick the box I am aware of what it means to make the user a system administrator.
Then click Become a System Administrator.
Once that is done, you will need to ensure that the User you just created, has two of the Programme/Authorization licences labelled Bf (Accounting) and Fa (Invoicing).
To add these licences, simply click on one of them. You will be redirected to a Supplement order page.
The two licences required, as mentioned are both Bf (Accounting) and Fa (Invoicing).
1. Bf (Accounting) = Bokföring
2. Fa (Invoicing) = Fakturering
From the screenshot provided, they are the two top options. Click on Add for both of them.
Then click on Continue with Purchase.
You will then need to confirm the purchase, click on Confirm your Purchase.
You will then see this screen. Click on Tilldela licenser.
After purchasing the required licences, you will need to assign them to the User you just created.
To do that, first, click on the Bf icon.
The following dialogue will appear. Click on Select All at the bottom to allow all permissions for the User (this is required).
Then click on Save.
This will apply the Bf (Accounting) license to the User.
You will then need to assign the Fa license as well. Click on the Fa icon.
The following dialogue will appear. Click on Select All at the bottom to allow all permissions for the User (this is required).
Then click on Save.
This will apply the Fa (Invoicing) license to the User.
And you are done! Use this User to log in and authenticate the LEX/Fortnox integration when connecting the integration through LEX.
