There are many ways to move a Time Record, and they are as follows:
- Moving a Time Record on the Main Card
- Moving a Time Record on the Case Card
- Moving a Time Record on an Invoice
1. Moving a Time Record on the Main Card
To move a Time Record on Main Card, head over to the Time Records-view, and My Time section, which is set as the default section, will appear.
You can move a Time Record on the following sections:
- My Time
You can stay in this section if you are moving your own Time Records.
Please note that if you are only a Case Participant with no additional system rights, you will only be able to move your own registered Time Records. - Manage Time
You can switch to the Manage Time section to move registered or approved Time Records that have not yet been invoiced on behalf of other Case Participants in your Case.
In this example, we are moving our own Time Records.
There are two ways to move a Time Record and they are as follows:
- The Change Case button
This method will move Time Records to the selected Case automatically and can only be done per Time Record. - The Move button
This method allows you to select and move multiple Time Records.
The Change Case button
Hover your mouse cursor over the purple line of a Time Record you want to move; once the Change Case text menu appears, click on it.
The following dialog will appear.
You can select a Case from the drop-down dialog or enter the following information to search for the Case:
- Case Name
- Case Number
- Client Name
- Client Number
After selecting a Case, refresh the page, and the change will be saved automatically.
The Move button
Select a single or multiple Time Records.
Or select here to select all Time Records.
Click on the Move button.
The following dialog will appear.
You can select a Case from the drop-down dialog or enter the following information to search for the Case:
- Case Name
- Case Number
- Client Name
- Client Number
After selecting a Case, click on the Assign to Case button.
Then click on OK and you are done.
2. Moving a Time Record on the Case Card
To move a Time Record from a Case, a Case Request, or a declined Case Request that cannot be reopened but still contains registered Time Records in it, head over to the Case Card, Time Records-view.
You can move Time Records on the following sections:
- My Time
You can stay in this section if you are moving your own Time Records.
Please note that if you are only a Case Participant with no additional system rights, you will only be able to move your own registered Time Records. - Manage Time
You can switch to the Manage Time section to move registered or approved Time Records that have not yet been included in an approved invoice on behalf of other Case Participants in your Case.
In this example, we are moving Time Records on behalf of others.
Select a single or multiple Time Records.
Or select here to select all Time Records.
Although the Time Records-view in the Case Card has the same appearance and functionality as the Main Card, you can only move a Time Record there by using the Move button.
The following dialog will appear.
You can select a Case from the drop-down dialog or enter the following information to search for the Case:
- Case Name
- Case Number
- Client Name
- Client Number
After selecting a Case, click on the Assign to Case button.
Then click on OK and you are done.
3. Moving a Time Record on an Invoice
The Invoices-view can be found on the following Cards, where the functionality is identical:
- Main Card
- Case Card
- Client Card
- Payer Card
To move a Time Record on a draft invoice, head over to the Invoices-view, and click on the invoice to open it.
Once you are in the invoice, click on the Move Time Records button.
The following dialog will appear; select a single or multiple Time Records.
Click the Select a Case... field.
The following dialog will appear.
You can select a Case from the drop-down dialog or enter the following information to search for the Case:
- Case Name
- Case Number
- Client Name
- Client Number
Click the Select Invoice... field to move Time Records into an existing invoice within the selected Case, or skip to the next step.
Click the Move button, wait a few seconds and you are done.
Note:
1. Ensure that you are either a Client Manager, a Case Manager, a User with 'Assistant'-role or a User with 'Administrator'-rights set up to be able to move a time record on behalf of others.
