To add a case background when creating a case, head over to the Main Card, Cases-view, and click on the Create Case button.
The following dialog will appear.
Fill in the required information as you would when creating a new case, then click the Add Background...
This will bring down a background text box in which you can enter a case background.
Once you have finished adding case background, click the Create Case or Create Case Request button, depending on which you want to create.
Once the case has been created, the case background will appear under the Background section, as shown below.
