Before you can update the settings in Control Panel for your SharePoint integration, you first need to create the Site Collections in SharePoint first. Without these Site Collections created first, you will not be able to update the configuration.
Please read how to do this in our article SharePoint: How to Create Site Collections.
Once you have successfully created the Site Collections in SharePoint, head over to the Control Panel. Under General, click on Manage Integrations.
Click on CONFIGURE for Office365.
The following dialogue will appear. Click on Show advance settings... button.
The dialogue window will expand to show more settings, should look something like this.
Under the Office 365 Location, there is a grey field after the URL.
Here you want to enter the site collection name you created in SharePoint. You can find it in your SharePoint Admin Center settings under.
In our example, we named it sites/documents. You can find this under the URL column in SharePoint.
The next step is to add the numbering system you entered when creating the site collections in SharePoint. In our example, we only used the year 2023.
Instead of entering the exact year here, since we created multiple site collections from 2023 up until 2028, we would replace the year with a code. The codes are as below.
- {year}
-
- If you used the full 4-digits for the year, example, 2023.
-
- {year:2}
-
- If you used two digits for the year, for example, for 2023 it would be 23.
-
- {month}
-
- If you used months in your numbering, which would be 01 through 12.
-
- {day}
-
- If you used days in your numbering, which would be 01 through 31.
-
- {halfyear}
-
- If you used half-year in your numbering, which would be 01 or 02.
-
- {quarter}
-
- If you used quarters in your numbering, which would be 01 through 04.
-
For the example, we used the year 2023, so we would use the code {year} at the end. Therefore the full entered URL name we would enter is sites/documents{year}.
You can confirm that the URL is correct based on the same URL in SharePoint below.
Optional:
You can add another folder by entering /name, after the code you entered, where you can add another folder name if required.
If everything is correct, click Update.
You are now done with updating the SharePoint integration in LEX247.
Notes:
1. Ensure you are a User with 'Administrator'-rights set to be able to access the Control Panel.
2. When updating the integration, ensure you have the correct administrator or service account credentials for your SharePoint.
