You can only add a Last Name Prefix when creating a Person Entity. Below are the areas where you can create a Person Entity.
- Client Card > Contacts-view > Client Contacts > Add Contact... > Create new Person Entity...
- Client Card > Contacts-view > Related Entities > Add Related Entity... > Create New Person/Company Entity... > Select Person
- Case Card > Participants-view > Participants > Add Participant... > Create new Person Entity...
- Case Card > Participants-view > Related Entities > Add Related Entity... > Create New Person/Company Entity... > Select Person
- Entity Card > Contacts-view > Contacts > Add Contact... > Create new Person Entity...
- Entity Card > Contacts-view > Contacts > Add Related Entities > Add Related Entity... > Create New Person/Company Entity... > Select Person
- Opponent Card > Contacts-view > Contacts > Add Contact... > Create new Person Entity...
- Opponent Card > Contacts-view > Contacts > Add Related Entities > Add Related Entity... > Create New Person/Company Entity... > Select Person
- Payer Card > Contacts-view > Contacts > Add Payer Contact... > Create new Person Entity...
- Payer Card > Contacts-view > Contacts > Add Related Entities > Add Related Entity... > Create New Person/Company Entity... > Select Person
For this example, we will be using the Client Card, Contacts-view, and adding a Client Contact by clicking the Add Contact..., then selecting Create new Person Entity... button.
The user interface is identical across all of the mentioned areas.
If you are clicking Create New Person/Company Entity..., then you need to click on Person at the top.
You should see the following dialogue.
Under the First and Last Name field, enter the name you want to enter.
In our example, we will use the name, Jeffrey Thomas van de Jansen.
If you wish to have van de as the last name prefix, simply add quotations ( " " ) to either side of van de.
When you create this Entity, the Entity Card will look like the one below.
The last name prefix will always be inside the field before the Last Name field.
You can use quotation marks to group multiple names into different fields. For example, if the name is Jeffrey Tim Thomas van de Jansen is the name, and you want Jeffrey Tim as the first name, van de as the last name prefix, then you would add quotation marks as below.
The Entity Card will then look like this.
